Not as interesting for short carbines
Rods are too short for short carbines. Works well with a 24 inches barrel but I'll have to partly raise the floor of the safe for the shorter ones (14 to 20 inches barrels) if the rod is to be long enough to hold them in place. Alternatively, longer rods would work better for that while still do the job for longer barrels. Twice the actual 16 inches length would be perfect. Also, the mat should be larger to accomodate the width of larger safes without having to slice and dice to fit. The idea is excellent for long barrels in small safes. But it does need a couple of improvements for short barrels and larger safes.Loading review...

This is explained in the product details, they fit most 10"-20" AR's in a cabinet, 16"-20+" in safe. The manufacture makes and sells a product the raise the rifle up in the safe. The issue you are explaining, while real in a large safe is in general a non issue for most users. Your feedback is however appreciated and welcomed.
